The Zimmers are probably Britain’s most famous group of old aged pensioners.  A group of 19, each of The Zimmers have a lust for life and amazing talent. Entertaining the nation with their individual style of rock since 2007, The Zimmers originally joined together to challenge a whole host of misconceptions about older people – celebrating and enjoying what life brings their  way.  Take a look at some of their videos and interviews.

The Zimmers continue to attract interest from around the world.  Recently, a film Company from South Korea has used the Zimmers to get their own population of older people to look at how they approach the process of aging.  They interviewed Maura, John and Bubbles and John Langridge, filming John and Bubbles during their radio programme and John singing at a local older people’s gathering.  

Mark Wildespin has written a funny song for the Zimmers which is to be recorded by John Langridge and Molly Hardie called Sex Life.

10PastDawn, the exciting electronic music act, want the Zimmers to perform in a video backing one of their tracks.
On 25th May, the Zimmers are going to Warrington to join in a Market trading day to publicise what they call the Best Trading retail market in the country (link here).  The Zimmers will have two slots singing their new songs and retakes on some of their old numbers.

The Zimmers were delighted to have have got through to the semi finals of Britain’s Got Talent 2012.
